2005
- Spring update-
The Heart Shaped Bombs-
My new band featuring former members of Advocate/What
feeds the fire/Roswell/Before I Break and Zillionare
played our first few shows. Here is a review of one
of those shows:
"This was a cherry popping night for locals
Heart Shaped Bomb. (I'm loving that name by the way.)
You definitely wouldn't know this was their first gig.
There's something incredibly English about them, the
singer looked kind of Noel Gallagher-esque in his aviator
shades, posing over the mic stand with a tambourine
slapping against his thigh. At one point his studded
belt fell off and I saw his bum crach...tee hee hee!
The bassist plays a Rickenbacker which gives him extra
brownie points. Their songs were a nice combination
of loud and heavy, yet melodic Rock N' Roll, with enough
genre crossovers to please the NME someday. I Think
this band will get pretty big...catch them now while
you can You could be one of those annoying people who
claims you knew about them before everybody else did.
